Need opinions on these 3 headphones

Thread Starter

I've recently started researching for good quality headphones to use with my home computer.  I pretty much listen only to trance, dance, and some dub-step music and I also play a lot of games semi-competitively.  I currently have an older Logitech Z-680s 5.1 speakers connected through a Creative X-fi titanium fatal1ty sound card.  These speakers are ok, but I can hear the feedback easily.

For various reasons I'm having to get rid of my speakers and get some headphones to replace them, so here I am.  I think I've found a few options by lurking these forums and specifically reading http://www.head-fi.org/t/593050/the-nameless-guide-to-pc-gaming-audio-with-binaural-headphone-surround-sound and http://www.head-fi.org/t/534479/mad-lust-envys-headphone-gaming-guide-all-testing-w-dolby-headphone-updated-2-6-2012 and a few other places also.

While in my searching I think I've narrowed my options down to the Sennheiser PC 360, Sennheiser HD595 or V-Moda Crossfade LP

Up until a few hours ago I was trying to decide between the PC360s or the HD595s and then a friend highly recommended the V-Moda Crossfade LPs.  I found a pair of the HD595s on craigslist for $150 and the Crossfade LPs I can get for about $100 on Amazon, while the PC360s I can only find for about $220.  I can't really find much info on the V-moda Crossfade LPs, so I can't make a good opinion on them and I really don't know much about good quality headsets

My question for everyone is in regards to my setup and use, which would be the better option to go with?  Are the HD595s a good price at $150?  Has anyone had experience with the Crossfade LPs?  Thanks in advance for your input!

The Crossfade LP has bloated bass and hardly no mid-range.  I prefer the Crossfade M80 and highly recommend those.  As for the HD 595 they are almost identical sounding to the HD-555 so if you can find the HD-555 for less go with them.  They are an open headphone compared to the closed design of the LP so if sound leakage is an issue you are going to want a closed headphone.

The HD-595 /HD-555 will have a wider soundstage which will be better for directionality both with movies and while gaming.  The HD-555 was one of my first serious headphones and I enjoyed them for a few years.
