are actual headphone amp specs posted anywhere? - I can't find anything except subjective comments on it

internal pic shows a SOIC-20 DW with half its pins to the gnd plane - almost certainly a TPA6120 - any clue what Vsupply? - and how does it get called a discrete component headphone amp?

the pcb differs from the 6Moons review - but I think the TPA can still be seen peeking out from the edge of the "module" cover in the 6 Moons pic

I have no idea about the amp/spec neither.  I would like to know also.  Maybe some of the members that has one can chime in?  But if you trust reviewers like 6moons, they say it pretty good compared to the Burson.  Maybe you can try contacting April Music directly?  For me if it was a 1 to 1.5k amp/dac i would buy it in a sec, but 3k its almost Balanced Act territory.

If money is no object then get the SPL Auditor. The SPL Auditor can really drive all the 600Ohm beyers effortlessly. And no, the SPL Auditor is not a bright amp at all. It's very detailed and revealing but quite natural sounding. I own the Auditor and should know ;). It can do 1.7W into 600Ohms, the DT990's can handle up to 200mW. That's a lot of power. The amp can also swing 120V, which is also insanely high!

The M1HPA is also really good and is slightly warm sounding and has a smoother sound to it. Still incredibly detailed and revealing, but it won't muster up the juice for the 600Ohm beyers at all. It has plenty of gain, not not enough voltage.

Cause I like the SQ of the DT 990 and i dont feel the need something to get a warmer sound. I already the nuforce HDP but it feels like it dont have the power to drive it, and its not neutral either.

Im little into the Musical Fidelity M1 HPA amp, it seems nice ?

Thanks.

That was a answer I was looking for. Funny thing is though, I now have the M1 hpa.

But M1 HPA does a really really good job with the DT 990! I think ill buy the SPL auditor to, and then keep what i liked most.

However, the tiny bit of harshness is gone. I think it was my HDP though, with its overly bright presentation. I can finally remove my EQ and run the phones flat. Im still using the HDP as dac though, doing a pretty good job .
