Hello everyone, 

I am in the middle of getting some audio gear, and the first piece of equipment I want is a DAC. My budget right now is around $300, with the twist that I can get my hands on a MHDT Havana for a very decent price. 

 

I already have the Fiio E10 for listening at my office and it sounds good, but not great ( I was kinda expecting more).

 

My gear will eventually get replaced, but this is what I have now: 

- old JVC 8010 receiver ( it has a Burr-Brown PC2702 in it, according to my MBP)

- Polk R50 speakers 

- mac book pro (who will eventually get replaced by a mac mini or iMac in the near future) 

- Fiio E10 

- Technics RPDH1200 

 

I am mostly listening to classical music and opera, with an occasional Queen and ZZTop and UB40.
