This is for the ODA, not the Objective 2.

If you're not comfortable DIY'ing it, you can buy a fully assembled unit from JDS Labs or Epiphany Acoustics for about 150 USD. The O2's performance is comparable to 2 to 400 dollar amps in terms of transparency and being accurate to the source material. The O2 has a wide compatibility with iems to harder to drive full-size headphones.
Looking at the ODAC, it's unclear at this point how it will compare to other DACs performance wise. Going by how the O2 has turned out, I have a feeling it'll be just as special. If you don't want to wait, a good cost effective options is Fiio's E10 or E17.
The impression i get so far is that i should wait for the Objective Desktop amp with objective dac, how much will it be preassembled together considering shipping to holland, is there anything that can compete with it for the price?
We don't really know yet, but based on his estimations, I would put both assembled together at about $250-$300. I don't know much about international shipping, though.
As for how it compares, no one other than NwAvGuy and a few of his friends have heard it. He has done blind tests between his hardware and $1000+ DACs and Amps, and apparently his subjects couldn't hear a difference. However, we just have to take his word for that (though he is very trustworthy and isn't making any money from the ODA or ODAC).
