Grado RS-1 ''buttonless''

Hi,I just recieved my new Grado RS-1 today, serial number # 10 455,and i have noticed that they don't have the ''button'' markked RS-1 in the middle if the cups.

Now,my question is,are all the new RS-1 ''buttonless'', or are my headphones, new old stock.

Thanks in advance

RS-1i is buttonless.

The new RS1i is buttonless, the buttoned models are the older ones.

Apparently,  most retailers don't know ***** about the 700 dollar headphones they're selling, they use pictures of the old buttoned model on their websites as an example for the RS1i, which looks very different. This probably caused the confusion.

Buttonless RS1 came out before the "i" upgrade so not all of them are RS1i.

Thanks for the replys

Sorry,i forgot to mention,they are the ''i'' model,so it's good to know,that they're not new old stock.

As for sales peoples not kowing much about what they're selling,my audio store doesn't carry them, they don't carry the RS-2 either or the PS-1000,they have all the other models tough,my salesman, had never seen RS-1 before yesterday when they came in,he was running around the store showing them to the other salesman, who all tought they looked very nice.

From what i've read,i have high expectations, but, know i'll have to wait untill they're broken in,to find out what they're really capable of.
