This is a fairly new 'extension' to a prior 2x15w no-headphone T-class small amp for desktop or other low power audio use.

Based around the TA-2024 (where the T comes from) chip which is a hybrid D-class but supposedly makes better use of power for more efficiency while providing quality sound. (I suspect perfectly fine for a desktop, den or garage system). Decent reviews by ppl, for what it is.

What I refer to is the above with a seemingly nice add-on, headphone amp made up of a LME49720  & LME49600 dual op-amp/audio buffer respectively.

The circuit implementation is essentially the manufacturers 'proof of concept' circuit, where the LME49600 is simply a current/power gain stage for the LME49720 op-amp, such that it can drive low to high ohm headphones, with adequate power.

As an owner of Sennhieser HD600, Beyer DT880 and several other headphones, I know that a typ. computer card can NOT drive a 300-600 ohm headphone as well as they need or deserve. Not so much volume, but quality.

I recently went looking for an inexpensive headphone amp, under $100, and I think the CMOY 18v based op-amp are just not enough for a 600 ohm headphone, drive it yes, drive it well, I suspect not. Many others, some Fiio and so forth just seem suspect for a 600ohm headphone, especially battery only powered units in my price category.

I came across the Objective 2 amp, well tested and respected but a bit out of my allotted price range, the Lehmann, as well and a kit version of either where I would have to gather the parts myself is just too much hassle, for me at least. I can soldier but I came across the above mentioned amp somehow and thought, hmmm, maybe just what I want. Pre assembled, tested, maybe!

The circuit boards look well done, nice looking device, circuit seems reasonable, build quality seem good, good specs, but what is missing - oh, someone else who has one or has listened to it!! ?

So, I just won a bid on 1 of these yesterday on EBay $68.00 including shipping, and now await arrival (2 wks) and wanted to see if anyone on the forum has an listening opinion?

So please let me hear from any owner or reviewer!!

Thanks! :)
