Crossfade LP2 Question

First off I have enjoyed lurking and drooling over you forums for a while now! Here is a question for those of you that actually have a pair of the LP2's. Money has been tight lately, but I saved up and decided to upgrade to a set of V-moda 80's when I ran into a deal on the LP2 I can't pass up. They are supposed to have only been "used only once". They sound, look and feel great, have all accessories, paperwork and box, etc....but here is my question. Does your L earpiece actually have "crossfade LP" printed on it, or "LP2"?  They are owned by a friend of the family who is on the wealthy side and I didn't want to sound offensive and ask if they could be fake. They were his Christmas gift, was the story. He is keeping, you guessed it, a set of BEATS.... The LP2's do look and sound new, I am only questioning the fact they say crossfade LP and not LP2. Headphone coloring and all is LP2 and the box and everything is all for LP2. He wanted $175 but I can get them for $160.

I tried a google search and some other forum postings but just can't tell. Thanks for the help!

I remember seeing my lp2 as being marked with lp2 inside the headband, but I forget which side and don't have them with me to check.

Good luck.

edit: If you have a microsoft store nearby, see if they have any on display.  The one near me has the lp2 and m80 out for people to audition.

Thanks drgnclwk. Unfortunately, I live in a remote area, so I have nowhere to audition anything worthwhile.Nearest Apple, Microsoft or other decent store is about an hour drive, so I usually stick to the forums, then try to find a good deal. It usually works out, I just was just a little hesitant on this one. I can't find a single image anywhere showing the inner L side.

Nobody else can tell me what their LP2's say on the headband?  I though they were pretty popular. I did search, but there are no clear picture of the inner L side, even on their site. I apologize if I posted in the wrong area.

I just got them.  I'll take some pictures of them in about a half hour because I'm not 100% sure of what you're asking.  :)

Here it is!  The inside of the left ear says "LP2" on it

My apologies for the superbright hands.  Darn desk lamp.  And it's mirrored, but you get the idea.  The right side says "V-Moda" in red.  I hope this helps you out!

THANKS! You confirmed my doubts, the ones I was looking at actually say "Crossfade LP" where yours say "LP2". I am ordering from the V-Moda site now while they are still on sale. I hope you like yours. Thank you so much for taking the time for the picture!

On sale?  The cheapest I've seen the LP2s is for 200 dollars.  Though, the LP1 can go as low as 80 dollars.
