$100 Price Difference Justifies Monster Turbines from Klipsch S4i?

As I said in my first post, this will be my first IEMs, and good earphones coming from the standard iPhone4 ones.

I did  A LOT of reviews, some favor S4i over the Turbines; while some say Turbines is the next step from S4i. Anyway, wondering if its really worth the $100(in fact $104 in Amazon lol) price difference between the two... sound quality and build quality wise. I read S4i is improved in build quality lately?

As of what I listen to, I listen mostly to rock and roll(Aerosmith, Bon Jovi) some Disney and Christmas songs, and even pop(Katy Perry). Bass I dont mind for head banging and whatnot, but not really a junkie towards it. I guess I prefer something balanced, great bass esp. on songs that uses it more, but doesnt overwhelm the rest of the music, esp to songs with low bass.

And oh, I wanna order from Amazon cuz Im from the Philippines, and so far, they work wonders for me. Other sites tend to have problems with credit cards from here.

MANY THANKS!

100 dollar price difference? Are you talking about the turbine pro gold? The regular one is 85 dollars on Amazon now. I don't really like the s4. Are you willing to look at other earphones? Re-0 or RE-zero are both pretty solid.

They are not available in Amazon, or atleast not directly from them. Also, I researched about it, is it true that their build quality is the main problem? Has it been fixed now?

Turbines are decent, but at $100 more than the already overpriced S4i it's not worth it. I would at most spend the $50 on the refurbs and like Dacrazydude said get the adapter for $5.

Edit: I see that they don't have any left. You should take a look at some other IEMs.

Yeah I read a lot, and as I said, I prefer to get them thru Amazon, cuz not only do I trust them, they have great warranty or exchange.

How do these adapter work?

You plug in the headphones into the adapter, then you plug the adapter (which probably has a TRRS connector) into the source. You control the mic through the adapter. It's a shame that you're only getting stuff through Amazon, as Xears might fit the bill.

He lives in the Philippines, so free shipping doesn't apply. J&R doesn't ship outside the US and Canada.

Sadly you're out of luck. For some reason no one's selling these sort of adapters >$50.
