I'm most likely going to purchase a hd 598 for gaming as an improvement to the turtle beach x41's.. Now I'm wondering what a good amp/dac. From reading seems the Fiio e17 or the Maverick tube magic d1? Another one I was thinking is the astro mix amp ? Are these acceptable choices? Are the better , what would you recommend .

Total Bithead

Has an amp and a DAC is has lasted me years.  It can run without batteries and accepts both USB and 3.5mm / 1/8 in.  This is one of my highest recommendations that will not break the bank.

One draw back is that it does not have a bass boost, but I really do not miss it.

Thanks, but I'm gaming 99% on the Xbox 360, so I'll need something that has better sources in, preferably digital or RCA

RCA to stereo adapter does the trick.
