Pardon my ignorance but why do we need "feets"? 

I put mine on a thick gaming cloth pad. However after seeing the budget Fiio e10 also got 4 feets includes. I can't help but wondering what feets are for?

Just gives you airflow around the chassis - helps keep it cool.
