Bought these on whim, for your basic train ride to work I don't mind. But its far from being the best I have own.

First, I should note that I auditioned these both straight out of the box, without any break-in time and then later after 53 hours of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite...

A very all-round headphone for me. Just the right one to take on the go or on holiday. Also as a DJ, nice noice isolation. Very durable so you don't have to wonder if it will break if you throw...

This quick review is done after a few hours of listening. I bought them from B&H for the decent sum of 150$. If you've done your research you'll find out that Ultrasone HPs are known for their...

The IE80s extend deeper and the drivers are better so the overall sound will be better. IE80s also has a bigger sound stage. If you want more quality go for IE80. Skip the IE8 because its mid bass dominates its bass while the IE80 the sub bass dominates. You get a much more balanced sound from the IE80 stock when compared to the IE8.
If you want to know more about comparison do a search between IE8 vs monster turbine pro and you should get some responses. Keep in mind though the mid bass on the IE8 really ruins its true potential and only EQ would fix that issue. This is not the case with the IE80. The mid range is not clouded and there is more detail due to the mid bass not muddying up the entire sound.

The Monster Turbine pro gold has overall more impact and quality bass than the IE8/80s. However, the IE8/80s have more bass and a wider soundstage (think, headphone). However, I prefer the mids and highs on the Turbine pro golds as the IE8/80s make vocals sound a little deeper than it should be. The IE80s also have better mids and slightly better highs than the IE8s, but I still prefer the Pro golds over it. However, in terms of bass speed, IE8/80s win.
