DAC suggestions for BCL+HD800 combo

Hi,

 

I'm looking for a DAC up to 1400€.

Any suggestion is welcome  for BCL&HD800 combo.

Bump!

 

I too have the BCL HD800 combo and am currently running them from a emu0404 source. I feel the emu is an alright source but is missing something. It doesn't sound anywhere near as good as the high end cd player in the shop I bought them from.

 

Can someone give us some recommendations for a DAC that will pair well with these. 

 

Some of the DAC's I've been reading about include:

 

 

DAC1
Cambridge audio dacmagic
stella da100 DAC
pico dac

 

What's your thoughts on these and others for this setup.

For 1400€ one can do much better than the stuff mentioned above. 

 

Maybe something like MEtrum Octave if bought in Europe and within the money you can also buy a good USB>SPDIF transport.
