Headphones for music with a lot of drums

I"m looking for a pair of cans that do well with music with a lot of drums in it(mostly rock), any suggestions?
Source is Flac and 320kbps mp3 from a sony A845 and a Clip + with rockbox.. My budget is €200 (can be stretched a bit)
They must be really comfortable and I prefer open headphones (closed if really necessary) Next to the drums I like clear sound with smooth mids (like the HD598), detailed treble without being harsh and piercing.and a punchy, not overwhelming bass with some decent body. I will only use them at home.

thanks in advance

(sorry for my crappy English, it's not my native language)

I would look for a pair of AGK Q701.  They do very well with percussion and remain my top pick for that genre.  If they do not meet your budget try to fit whatever headphones you decide on to the charts below.  That should help ensure that they sound very good with percussion.  For me I would focus on having the mid range very flat and look for an up-front sounding headphones rather than laid back like the HD-650.

thanks, what's the difference between the q701, k701/2? just some marketing b*lls*it?

Jury's out on that one, even among people who have heard them.  And of course you have the opinions of those who haven't.

K701 has a 4-conductor cable, not detachable.

K702 and Q701 have detachable cables, 3-conductor.

This is the biggest factual difference.

There's some growing opinion that the Q701 has the most bass and least strident highs, and just slightly narrower soundstage (though some prefer this to an artificially wide stage).

Okay.. I just looked around at some webshops over here (in the Netherlands) and the lowest price I could find is €289 which is too high for me....
