E7 + E9 + iPhone and M50s/ RE0 - Good pairing?

And would I need the L9 cable for this? Would it improve the quality very much?

I was wondering the same thing... I ordered both the FIIO E7 and the L9 cable, i will let you know when i get them (few days) smily_headphones1.gif

Unfortunately the higher output impedance of the E9 is likely to have negative effects on SQ with those low impedance phones.

The E7 on its own, however, should do nicely with them as a portable amp.

 

As to the L9, it would be much better than just using the headphone out of the iphone.
