This is for a guy who can't really afford to buy headphones more expensive than, say, 60 US$. Do y'all have any recommendations?

HTF600. For $30. They will shock you how great they sound for Trance. I should know. Lol!

I'm guessing by Panasonic?

Oh yea. If you need one that is isolating a more portable try a JVC HAM750. But if you need one just for your home try a Panasonic HTF600.

If your rough on your headphones go for the JVC HAM750. Much stronger build. If you are careful with your headphones and are ok with sound leaking out from them absolutely the HTF600s.

Ok, so which on has better, i guess, noise cancelling capabilities? (if you just answered that, sorry! lol I'm a novice to the whole headphone world...)

Its ok. Ya give them JVCs a go. They cost I believe $50. Great for trance. Isolates well. fairly light. Really strong build. Great bassy sounds for the cost. Make sure you burn them in or have them play fairly loud music for a good week or so to have them sound their best. Good luck.
