I am trying to use it as a DAC/AMP, I cant justify the usage of the DAC on my laptop. it doesnt sound as clear just an amp on my computer.

 

I am currently using an XPS 15 l502x so idk if the onboard soundcard outdoes the DAC on the e7. But I dont get that much boom from the bass....

 

worst part of all is that this damn rockbox clip+ sounds better alone than my laptop with an amp...

 

Is there anything that I should be doing to my laptop to make this DAC better?
