IEMs with Fit Similar to MDR EX-71

Thread Starter

Greetings. These forums have been hugely helpful in the past and I figured I'd give this a shot here:

I've been enjoying full-size headphones, but recently decided to get back into IEMs. The Klipsch Image S4s seemed like a great place to start (price/sq ratio) and I'm impressed with the sound but not so much the fit and form. Long story short, my right ear canal is oddly shaped and that side is terribly muffled due to the narrow stem and opening (tried all of the gels and even comply foam tips). I have an old pair of EX-71s which fit both ears perfectly with the medium included tips. The low profile of the barrel is pretty ideal as well since I can comfortably lie on my side if I want to. Still, the EX-71s leave much to be desired in the SQ department.

I guess what I'm looking for is something with similar acoustics to the S4s in the Sony EX-71/75 shape. Any good options come to mind? I'd like to spend under $100 if possible.

Thanks!

You can buy better sounding IEMs than S4 if you go little over your budget like i will highly recommend the Yamaha EPH100 and they sound great as well as fit well in most ears and JVC FXT90, Sony EX600, Etymotic HF5, UETF10Pro. But few IEMs like Sony EX310, EX510, JVC FXC51, JVC FXC80, Brainwavz M4, RE0 are good value.
