Fractional Volume on iDevices

Thread Starter

I just got new IEMs (HF3) for use with my iPhone and I love the isolation provided by the foam tips. My goal is to leave IEMs w/ foam tips in my ears when I'm studying or working and have some relaxing music playing at a really low volume in the b/g. The problem is that the minimum volume above zero is too high for me ! Any ideas on what I can do to get a really small volume output from my iphone?

hmm. maybe an amp. something like the FiiO E3,E5,E6. with an LOD. this would bypass your iphone's volume and use just the amps stepping...only problem is. i don't remember if my E5's volume stepping with LOD was lower than lowest step of regular ipod :/ sorry.
