Sennheiser 25hd adidas - to amp or not to amp - Fiio E11

Hey so I know this question has been raised a few times on at Head-Fi already but the answers were so varied that I couldn't find a clear consensus. I mainly listen to the headphones on my iphone 4 and although the sound was amazing I wanted to see if I could push the limits so I purchased the Fiio E11 w/ an F9 cable dock tor run from my iphone to the amp. It seems to me the overall listening experience has increased and everything sounds "warmer".Also, a few friends I have showed have said the same. But I am not sure if it is me convincing myself that it sounds better to justify my purchase.

What do you guys think? I know many say the Sennheiser 25HD don't necessary need an amp but do you think it has the potential to increase the sound quality/experience? Should I keep the amp or return it and get my $80 bucks back and buy a new cable or maybe keep both? Keep in mind I have only had the amp a few days so I haven't analyzed it too much.

Thanks for any answers!

amp will without doubt increase performance from your current source. also if you havent had the amp long, give it time. burn in does exist. both mechanical and mental i like to think.

its up to you whether the increase is worth the price. id say yes but you are the one with the decision.

hi

i own a hd25-1 II and a nuforce icon mobile . Comparing amps ipod, there's more detail soundstage and dynamic.

you also change the cable but it is expensive like cardas, stefanartaudio....
