So, as I said, I am by no means an audiophile and was hoping someone here could offer some insight.  With that said, I want something that looks good and sounds better.  After reading about 20 reviews on studio beats by dre I don't think that they are for me, especially with the $300 price tag.  The SOL Republic Tracks HD caught my eye though especially for less than half the price.  I mainly listen to hip-hop, but i do have a semi-eclectic taste in music, so I do want something with solid quality.  The other things I'm looking for are durability and look (i know this will upset some true audiophiles).

Basically, are the Tracks HD worth the money?  Most reviews are pretty positive, but if I want to invest in headphones, then I want them to last and sound great.

Thanks, any and all feedback is going to be helpful. beerchug.gif cheers!

Do you want portable headphones?

Do you mind buying an amp for greater sound quality?

What's your budget?

Well, its a late christmas present from my mom, and she was willing to do the studio beats, but she lives in KS and i live in PA, so i found these and said "use the left over for a plane ticket to visit".

so, I'm looking $150 and under.

Also, I want on/over ears that are good for daily use (walking to class, etc.) and would prefer to not use an amp.

Thanks for the quick reply!
