Rookie EarGeek - Purchased SE215's First Impressions and Hello!

I have been reading this forum for a few weeks and I have to say I have found more information than I can handle! I started liking the Westone 4r's and ended up here looking at all kinds of crazy cool headgear.

My Favorite Thread so far is the http://www.head-fi.org/t/552014/pictures-of-your-portable-rig-part-xv (Pics of Portable Gear)

I really like the Se535's but I can't just go jump in the deep end, so here I am in the paddling pool with Bose MEi2's for 3 years, thinking they were the best IEM's I could get. I have been significantly humbled in my time on this site.

So I jumped in and got some Shure SE215's for $99 CDN at a local store. I am blown away at the difference with just this entry level set of plugs. The sound is amazing to me, and I know I am just at the start of a journey. I want to get am upgraded set down the road. I had plans to also get a Fii0 E11 Amp, but I have been staggered by the strength of the 215's off just my standard iPhone4 internals.

I have just one request for help. I am using the standard Medium Foam tips. I can't even think about putting in the gigantic large ones, but feel I could go a touch larger. I want to stick with foam tips, unless I am missing something.

Any suggestions?

Only person that can pick the right tips for you is you. You just have to try different ones, the best sound is the sound you like.

what I found that worked well for me was using the stock silicone with a cut foam earplug inserted into them, I have pictures in my default album of what that looks like and there is an extensive thread around here somewhere about hacking tips with foam and what not.  I use the large flex sleeves with the foam inside, the olive foam I can only use the medium.

I think I figured out a better way to ask what I intended for this thread....

Can anyone guide me to a specific set of tips that are foam, and sized between a Medium and Large from the set that ships with Shure SE IEM's ?

You could try the comply T series or Tx series. Only complaint is their slightly steep asking price of ~$5 per pair.
