New Sieveking Makassar Stand a Beaut.

Hey guys,

So I just got in my Sieveking Omega headphone stand in Makassar wood from elusive disc. And I must tell you this thing is BEAUTIFUL.  Anyone looking for an interesting wood headphone stand that allows for equal pressure on the pads, this is it. It fits my large HiFiMan HE-500 with ease.

I have to admit, they look extremely gorgeous...a bit expensive when compared to other headphone stands.

Yea, I thought so too, I was about to go with a HAL wood headphone stand. These just caught my eye, and I figured a $700 pair of headphones deserved a decent stand.

The HAL just seemed more basic looking:

Heya,

Beautiful stand for a great pair of headphones.

I took a different approach for my HE-500's:

I prefer the curved portion for the leather headband, all too many leather headbands get damaged on squared off stands I think. Yours looks like a HAL, but the feet look different.

I made mine out of red oak and put some steel feet on it. Cost me like $30~40 for the whole thing to make.

Hmm, in that case the HAL Stands are not a bad deal then at $49, wouldn't you say?

Yeap, they're good deals considering the price includes the labor. Granted my cost was because I bought enough material for 6 stands to be made. But $50 for a nice wood stand that is hand made with good stain and balance with the work done for you is a good price in my book.

Very best,
