Upgrading Brainwavz M2 not sure what I'm looking for

Thread Starter

I've recently bought the Brainwavz m2 and I can't help but think that I can find better IEMs to enjoy my music more.  I'm not sure if they are worthwhile to upgrade.  What I was looking at were the VSonic GR07, but I don't know if I'll miss the bass of the brainwavz m2.  Otherwise what's catching my eye are the Monster Turbine Golds.

I recently heard the Ultimate Ears TF10 and my m2 seem very budget compared to them.  My only real exposure to higher quality headphones are the M2, and the ATH AD700 cans that I own.  Also other IEMs that looked good were the RE262, Q-Jays.  I want to keep it between 100-200 and feel like I'm upgrading.  Also I'm looking for something a bit more fun, warm, and brighter than the M2.  Any help?

I don't know how an IEM can be both warmer and brighter than the M2, aren't those sort of the opposite?  Unless you're looking for a V-shaped sound signature, which is what the TF10 has.

Brainwavz B2's or the DBA-02's are a good upgrade if you want to go the analytical route.  They're definitely brighter and have more detail and clarity but aren't particularly bassy.

The GR07 is another very good choice, which is neutral with a slight focus on the bass.
