Looking for new IEMs, currently own Meelec A151

Basically what the title states. I own the A151's right now and the left side is going bad. I have enjoyed these, but could have used a little more bass.

Currently I'm looking Visang R02/Brainwavz ProAlpha, as my budget is around 50$

Would this be a good choice? My player is a Sansa Clip + and I literally listen to all types of music. Alternative, rock, metal, hiphop, r&b, jazz, electronic etc.

Thank you

Hi, I don't own any of the IEMs you mentioned but I don't think your options (Visang R02/Brainwavz ProAlpha) can offer a better sound than A151.

Check out the threads (reviews) of the IEMs review Gurus (ClieOS & ljokerl) here and keep your options open.

You can consider Vsonic GR06 if you can stretch your budget. Have fun doing your research.

I own both the ProAlphas and the A151s and I feel that overall the A151s are still better. I'm guessing that you want a wider soundstage with more treble extension and mid-bass.

It's surprising to hear that the left side is "going bad". How long have you had these for?

This is my second pair too, and these lasted about 5-6 months. I use the for daily use, travel etc, and don't tangle them and take fairly good care. Not sure what's wrong, and could use a new sound anyways.

I might be able to up my budget to about 60$ if it helps? Are the Meelec CC51's better than the A151's?

not necessarily, but the bass is more bloated and theyre faster and they have better treble extension so they may be what you're looking for. don't expect them to last 5-6 mo's though

TBH I'm not that satisfied by the A151s either. I don't think my next purchase will be from MEElec.

Meelec has been good to me, but I find the sound rather boring now

if you want something durable , i doubt you'll find something better than Meelec products for that price.

but Dunu's are also well built, at least from the outside.
