Even though I worked for the money. I'd still be interested in knowing though.

I'm talking about from a home phone.

There are many IEMs around $25 that are decent. What to get depends on whether you want extra bass or not. For extra bass, the JVC HAFX1X has very strong bass, but also has a bright sound overall. The meelectronics CX21 or CW31 have bass that is more neutral, with CW31 having more bass than the CX21. There are many others to choose from. Even the $6 Panasonic RP-HJE120 IEM sounds quite good for the price. I was curious about it, bought it, and was pleasantly surprised. No, it isn't as good as a good $25 IEM, but I don't mind listening to it.

I listen to Deep Dubstep/Grime so I guess something with good tight and punchy bass. The JVC HAFX1X look pretty sweet. Has anyone on here tried the Monoprice 8320 IEM's? http://www.head-fi.org/t/580769/the-monoprice-8320-mep-933-the-7-11-club (link to forum about them) They have a huge 14.2 mm driver compared to the JVC HAFX1X 10.0 mm driver.
