Currently using an ipod classic with apple lossless and ortofon e-q7 iems.

 

This is primarily used at work while sitting at my desk.

 

I'm looking for a DAC, amp, and possibly a dock if required.   These don't have to be portable.  An all in one unit would be nice due to the lack of room on my desk.

 

I'd prefer something with tubes if possible. 

 

Budget is around $500

 

The main issue is that it's difficult to enjoy this setup after listening to my home stereo.  It lacks some of the warmth and resolution, and simply just doesn't sound as real. 

 

Home stereo if it matters:

Salk HT2-TL speakers

Eastern Electric Minimax DAC

Audio by Van Alstine Ultra SL preamp

Audio by Van Alstine Ultra+ Double 550 amp 

Logitech Squeezebox duet

GIK room treatments
