Need a portable headphone amp to use with my iPhone 4

Hello everyone! I joined head fi for 1. to ask this question and 2. for answering so many of my questions. A big thank you goes out to everyone.

 

As the title says, I am looking for a portable headphone amp for my ath m50s. I need it to be used with my iPhone 4 (and PC at home), but mostly iPhone. Can anyone recommend a good one? 

 

Could someone please explain to me how portable amps work?

i'm using Fiio E11 with my Cowon C2 and M50's, quite decent amp, very cheap and light,good build quality, the diffrence with it is mostly about bass quality and soundstage, don't expect here for a total diffrent sound. recommend using high power+low gain(Low hiss set-up) and Eq on 1 (2 for Dubstep and stuff).

I would give quality cMoy amp a try. I am very impressed with cMoy from JDS Labs, they build quality amps and they sound excellent.
