Question: New pair of IEMs to use with my Sansa Clip+

Hello guys,

First of all, I am newbie when it comes to audio, this is my #1 post here. My name is Rui, I live in Portugal and I would be truly grateful if you could spare a few minutes and give me a hand.
I want to buy a new pair of IEMs for my Sansa Clip+ (with rockbox); I'm currently using a cheap pair of AKG K321.
I did some research before deciding to ask for your help, but I still could not make my mind about what to buy.
I will use them mainly at home/office, and some times on travel (plane/train) but I won't go jogging with them. The most important thing for me is comfort and sound isolation. I listen to all kinds of music, mostly rock, classic or trance...
Since I live in Portugal, I'm trying to buy them from an European site (i searched mainly in amazon.co.uk) and I don't really have a budget, but I'm not sure I want to spend $400 in a set when my current one cost me 30 bucks, and again, I'm a newbie
I looked up at Shure SE215, then at UE triple fi 10... I checked Vsonic GR07 (but i couldn't find them in Europe)... And then took a look at some more expensive sets, like Shure SE535, Westone 4 and Sennheiser IE8. And this is it, i read reviews of all of them and more but I'm still unsure of what would suit me...

I would appreciate anything you guys have to tell me, either about these headphones i mentioned or other ones.

Thanks in advance.

Rui

Get the Radiopaq Jazz for 10 pounds. The list price is 60 pounds.

For travelling, get the Etymotic MC5 or HF5. They have about the best isolation you will find.

Hi, you can consider the following (sub US$60) :

Brainwavz M1 >> available on amazon uk

Good value sound, budget/entry level IEM...decent bass, beautiful (forward) mids and nice highs.

Soundmagic E30 >> available on amazon uk

Tonal balance, neutral sound, smooth, nice soundstage, good for non fatigue listening. Average/mediocre isolation for me due to shallow fits (subjective ears) but comfortable

Vsonic GR06 >> I think there are sellers on ebay.co.uk

Fun, lush, quite spacious and airy...good soundstage

Check out the reviews here and do some research. wink.gif
