i dont have a cable side preference (1 or two sided) i dont think it makes a difference.

never tried headbanging with headphones on. that's more a speaker thing for me :)

Headphones force me to headbang or move around somehow because the intimate closeness of the music. I can't listen to Avenged, Disturbed, Killswitch, or some other heavier band without headbanging for some reason. Speakers make me go crazy (in a good way) though. I'll jump around, dance, do whatever with blaring music out of a sound system in an open room.

From what little I understood about the review I just read on these, I'd say they are my choice right now. They do have a sleek look that I like and seem to be high-performance. I'll do some more research on these to see the pros/cons compared to other top picks I've been told about. Thanks!

Okay maybe the Denon AH-D2000's have some flaws. I'm not fully understanding when people say that the use velour, mods, or need amps. I'd like to use them for simple Apple-product items (iPod/iPhone). Would these still be a good buy at $350ish or would there be a better sound for cheaper money out of the Ultrasone 580's?

mods dont pay attention to. pads are made of velour. ie they are comfy,

all headphones need an amp to sound better, you can get some good cheap $50 ones that are like as small as an ipod anyways.

every single headphone recommended works BETTER with an amp

doesnt mean its mandatory though

Alrighty thank ya! For velour pads (altho I'm guessing expensive), should I find need to invest in headphones specifically velour or ones where I could change the pads. I'm aware some sets you can't change the padding. I need to go back and see how much pads are & if I could get them for Ultrasone 580's or some other decent pair. As I've checked out a lot of headphones today and learned quite a lot, I'm still a picky buyer and this is a nuisance to myself, but I hope I find a pair I am fully satisfied with.

Speaking from a durability stand point. As it seems you like to bounce around.

I would look at the Sennheiser HD25 or Amperior for the higher end. I also agree with the post for the Monoprice 8323 and HTF-600 they are so cheap if you broke one you wouldn't freak out.

The Denons (headband screws) and Grados look like they wouldn't hold up to all your physical energy.(plus I would freak if I broke one of those headphones lol) Just a thought I can't comment on the sound of any of these headphone except for the HTF-600 and tonight when I get home the Monoprice 8323.

amperior is useless. its a hd 25 with a shiny shell and silly name. for $150 more.

denon have had issues, true. if they spent the extra $0.05 on metal screws... x.x

Yeah I don't mean to bounce around so indecisively, but this is my first experience with quality headphones. I don't wana regret the decision since I'm a low-income indivivual and wouldn't be able to buy multiple pairs to find the one I like best. I only have a part-time job aside from school, but I'm looking to invest in something worthwhile and I appreciate music so much I have to try something other than cheap $5-$15 headphones (occasionally $50) I keep replacing. In the long run if I get a durable set to last me a few years I should be able to save money since I seem to replace my pairs way too often for my liking.

LOL I didn't mean disrespect at all. By bounce around I meant you like to head bang and such activities. :)

I totally understand where you are coming from. Every time I make a purchase a headphone I damn near have a stroke. And I don't own anything all that costly.

If you can find a way I really think you should try a grado and Senn HD 25. I really hope you find what you want and don't get sucked into a headphone swirl like I am in now. heh.

Oh okay lol I gotcha. I have heard of the Senn's, but according to reviews they might not be my taste. I'll keep checking out reviews though.
