Need a new DAP < $150 (Cowon, Sony, SanDisk?)

My original SanDisk Sansa 4GB is finally dying on me.

 

My budget is $150 or less.

 

I only need 8GB of space or so.

 

SQ is my biggest desire. The ability to play lossless, FLAC, OGG, etc. is a plus but may not be necessary.

 

Some initial options I've found:

 

Cowon iAUDIO9 8GB ($120)

Sony Model X (Seems to be many similar devices out there.) Perhaps the NWZ-764 ($130)

Sansa Clip 8GB ($65)

Apple 8GB Nano ($130)

 

Other?

I just noticed there is an iAUDIO 10 available for $150.

 

That might be what I want.

I haven't read too much about the new iAudio 10, but I absolutely love my Cowon J3 -- it the best sounding DAP I've had in all 10 years of owning DAPs.  Sound quality is excellent, good power, and works great with most media software out there -- WMP, MediaMonkey, Winamp -- Winamp is the best because it correctly sends playlists to Cowon players when they are in MTP mode.

Sony walkmans don't support lossless, only mp3 or lossy wma. If you've liked the sq of your sansa why not try the clip zip?

Walkman players will play WAV, although I think loading a player with that is beyond silly....

Didn't list WAV 'cause no tag support and file size is huge and less people use it. How hard is it for Sony to implement FLAC support?!

They don't like open-source...remember, Sony supports SOPA too.
