Broken ATH-M50's

My almighty god-like cans seem to have a problem.. I can only hear through the right side, the left side is dead. Well, let me rephrase that, the left side is dead 99% of the time, however, they do very rarely pick up noise when I move the cable around(sometimes just for a split second). I REALLY love these cans and don't want to go splurging on new ones, so is this something that an be fixed? If so, is it difficult? I have some soldering experience but don't know my way too well inside headphones. Any help would be appreciated headfi :D

Do you know where the wire is broken? Most of the time it's just the plug part because when you put it in your pocket sometimes, it bends and if it stays there for a long time it breaks/molds. If it's just the plug part, there are a ton of youtube videos that show you how to replace them. You only need to know minimal soldering, so don't worry!
