so ultrasone dj one pro just has the best soundstage...

dj one pro does not have the quality of the hd800 but it has the soundstage... i tried hd800 with a very very nice lamps amp.... i will try other ultrasones in search for the best soundstage, and i might get lcd the closed back ones, if i will be able to power them portable, with fiio e12, but i doubt.....

i am still in earch for an iem with soundstage....

how about NAD Viso HP50?

I want this can some day..

Although considering adding headphones (HD800, DT990s) to current stable, I'm playing around with tube rolling on LD MK IV SE amp. Tube rolling thread report impressions of significant improvements to soundstage. Have others, here, tried tube rolling or other adapting / audio hardware changes, other than HPs to improve soundstage?

RE0s have extremely wide soundstage. Extremely wide. Extremely. Downside is that they do sound a little grainy/fuzzy ( to me at least )

i searched for the headphone with the best soundstage...

it was hd800 from sennheiser...

but it does not have nice highs... i would recommend better hd650...

i will write a more in depth thing about them..

For a closed can the NAD Viso HP50 has a similar size soundstage to the HD558

I tried tube rolling, specifically an Amperex 7308 and 6n23p Russian tubes, the former significantly improved the soundstage and imaging for me. The latter made it a lot less spacious but more intimate.

I also had very positive gains while using tube amps and rolling tubes. When I first heard my Q701 with a Sylvania JAN 6DJ8 tube, it seemed to remove the limit of the size of the listening room, layering distances in an uncrowded fashion, abolishing the "phantom center" people mention about the Q701 where the center position seems to (soundstage wise) pop back into your head and focus between your ears. The Sylvania has great soundstage imaging and a little "grit" (great for Rock & Roll, or music that gives you shivers), the Amperex 6DJ8 "BugleBoy" I tried was sweeter with nice soundstage but it more sensitivity to microphonics and the ringing seemed to subconsciously sharpen highs, the Vokshod is my most used with a dynamic sound and cleaner than the Sylvania, and I recently got an Amperex 6922 PQ which was pretty good but I haven't been abLE to bias it properly yet (my multimeter's battery died).
DAC upgrade seemed to make things less crowded and more layered, but the room wasn't larger.

Whoa... Amperex 7308 are major $$$... I'm trying many different tubes with my LD IV SE, but may edge up bit later to the Amperex 7308
