Hi!
I know this is probably been discussed several times, but if someone are willing to help me i will appreciate it. My first experience with IEMs where the shure se425 which had good detail but i missed the bass and treble. I sent the se425s back and got the se535. The se535s had more bass and treble but i felt that it actually sounded worse than the se425s. The thing that was most disappointing was the sound of the drums in the se535s, they just didn't sound natural. I also felt that it made the mix of instruments sounded really wrong. I work a lot with music production at home basis, so i know how the mix should sound.
Now i'm considering buying some customs to get the perfect sound. I'm considering ether the JH13, JH16 or the westone SE5X. I don't want you to compare them in detail or sound quality because i know the customs sounds a lot better than the universals. I want you to compare them in the sound signature regarding levels off bass mid, treble and maybe soundstage. I would like more bass than what the se535s and se425s can provide, but not too much. Would the JH16 sound to bassy for me? I listen a lot to rock but i also like other types of music. I would like a neutral sound with maybe a bit more bass around 50hz, so i really can enjoy the music. I'am aiming more towards the JH13 or the Westone, will they please me more than the JH16? And whats the differences between the JH13 and the Westone? Can someone who owns or have tried all or most of them compare them.
I hope someone can help me.
