Whats better to use? 3.5 or LOD?

Which cable is better to use for an amp to iPod? 3.5 to 3.5 or 3.5 to LOD?

LOD. You bypass the internal amp, reduce hiss, and some other nifty things.

My 3.5 mm from Radio Shack fits tightly and I'd like when it feels tight. Do not know about "Master Bates"  stuff though.....

Going off what Dorino said. Yes and LOD is better. plz note they are only for walkman and apple music devices. the LOD bypasses the internal amp of the device. the internal amp of ipods is known to be what muddies up the signal from the DAC. so the LOD bypasses both the amp and headphone jack and the circuitry in that surrounding area which adds hiss, distortion, and noise muddying issues to the sound since it's not audiophile quality (they are "high quality" parts..but not audiophile really)

 

So with an LOD. you are getting a clear analog signal straight from the DAC of which you can then use an external amp with :D
