Wasn't sure what to expect out of the box because of all the mixed reviews. By mixed you would see 9 that love and totally swear by Ultrasone but then there was always one troll hating on em and...
This is a review of a pair of free IEM's I recieved from DUNU as part of a give away contest they recently held here on Head-fi.
When I recieved my package the first thing I notices was...
Best closed headphones I had heard - very flat response, almost no midrange distortion, very easy to drive (good for portable), good soundstage (definately better than K240), good isolation, but...
Overall excellent buds, very good sound quality, especially for their price, the medium set of tips fits exactly in my ears and provides a near perfect seal. Bass is very detailed, but not...
I know it use to be the GR07, but those have since gone up to $200+.
I currently used Sunrise IE as my main IEMs, but I just don't find them all that fun. Whats the biggest steal under $200? Is it the new(ish) jvc fxt90?

Interesting, the lendmeurears site has them at way more, but their eBay is cheap? Are these still the best overall sub $200 iems?
Never heard them, so I cant answer that. I am a TF10 owner and paid even less than GR07's. I am MORE then pleased. I did swap the cable, so over all that puts them in the GR07 price range.
The first step to rehab is admitting you have a problem. Lets see, small issues with the GR07, sibilance and chicks dont dig them?
I actually don't even experience sibilance anymore and I find their understated looks kinda sexy. They don't look like much, but boy do they pack a punch.
As of right now do you still feel the GR07 is the best?
For what they are, stage monitors, yes. They're meant to be used in the studio or on stage for monitoring, and as such they are a bit 2D and present music like you're sitting in front of the stage.
Consider the Sony EX600 as well. A great IEM that's not too far behind Sony's flagship, but sort of got lost amidst the GR07 hype. You can find it for less than $130 new. I'm sure some people will recommend the JVC FXT90 as well.
