Which ear guides?

Hi there I recently bought Brainwavz M2 and while I love the sound the microphonics from the stiff cable are really annoying me. Unfortunately the cable will not stay in place if I wear them over the ear, so I've decided to buy some ear guides.

The Phonak Audeo ones seem to be popular unfortunately they're £15 here in the UK (http://www.hifiheadphones.co.uk/phonak-audeo-soft-silicone-earguides-3pairs-prodid-2116.html).

The other option I've found are cheaper MEElectronics ones from Amazon for £5 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/MEElectronics-Guides-Suitable--Canal-Earphones/dp/B0071KCC6M/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1327854549&sr=8-4).

So my question is whether it's worth it going for the Phonak ones, are they likely to be more comfortable? Another thing to note is that the Phonak guides come in a set of three so are possibly similar value. However I don't think I need three pairs, I don't see myself losing them too easily.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I dont have the same phones as you do, but I also was looking at ear guides. If you have the option, try using the chin slider on the cable. For me this worked using my FiiO cable and might save you from having to buy anything. Of course if your cable even has a slider. biggrin.gif

That's my issue, the Brainwavz don't come with one.

Bah, it was worth a shot.

From looking at the images the main difference between the two is that the phonak guides have the slit in the side whereas the meelectronic's have it around the outside of the curve.

Will this make any difference to comfort or how well they keep the cable in shape?
