The heat issue with the Asgard is greatly misunderstood. It's warm, but not hot. My tube amp runs hotter. I'm sure Schiit went overboard explaining the heat because of their target demographic--the entry level user. I suppose when someone is moving from an iPod to the Asgard, the heat will be scary. But it's not hot. It's warm. I've felt hotter.
