Earphones around £120

Hello,

My friend bought the Phonak Audéo Perfect Bass Earphones and a week ago, he sent it back to amazon for an exchange because it broke (right ear). Even though he sent it back to Amazon for an exchange (he enojoyed it so they got an exchange instead of a refund), amazon mentioned in the emails about refunding him back for the earphones. First email said he was getting a refund, second email said an electriconic credit note and a tax back claim, thrid one was about processing the returned product, in that order (not sure if that's how amazon does things).

He's going to contact amazon tomorrow about it and if amazon does give them a refund, he'll need to buy a new one.

His price range is a maximum of £120. He wants something better than the Phonak Audéo Perfect Bass Earphones. Otherwise he'll just re-buy them if there are none better.

I mentioned to him about the Yamaha EPH-100 (I've also shown him the thread about the reviews of it in this forum), I also told him about the ones I have, which was the Ultimate Ears Triple fi 10 Earphones, just because it was 59% off. Another friend recommended to him Bose and Shure but he never mentioned which models.

Thank you.

erm you dont really give any great criteria but since im bored.....

the tf10 are stellar, some have fit trouble though.  other great things about that price are the IE7, GR07 and the RE-262.  all depends what matters most sound wise to him and other aspects.

bose are poo, skip them.  shure are good but you pay a premium for their name so not often great value.

The JVC FXT90, UETF10Pro, Sony EX600, Yamaha EPH100 and Sennheiser IE8(dynamic punchy bass and out of head soundstage with great mids, highs) offers deep punchy bass, crisp clear mids and highs with above average soundstage.

Sorry, this was his requirements for the Phonak Audéo Perfect Bass Earphones. So i'll be guessing it'll be the same for this reason.

Use: He'll be using it for mainly on his iPod Touch
Type of music genre: Any type.
Bass/Treble/Balance: He doesn't mind which as long as the bass isn't over powering.

Finally (and the main ones), noise cancellation is decent and doesn't fall out the ear easily

I'm guessing the IE7 is the model below the IE8. I forgot to mention to him about the GR07 that I read a week ago. Not seen the RE262 before but i'll let him know.

He saw the Sennheiser, but it was over his budget. I'll let him know about the JVC and Sony
