This is a long-shot thread, but I am looking to trade my Woo GES / Stax 4070 combo for . . . something new. I have other electrostats that I spend more time with (Omega II, HE60), and thought I'd see if anybody wants to give this combo a try. The 4070s have upgraded leather earpads. The GES has upgraded Mullard tubes as well as the premium capacitors upgrade.
I don't know what I want -- just make me an offer of a DAC and/or amp and/or headphones that are of approximately the same value. These are in great condition (9/10 Audiogon scale). I do know that I'm not looking for quantity -- I don't need three cheap headphones, four cheap amps, and a few DACs. I would like one or two pieces that are roughly comparable in quality and price, and one of us could add cash if necessary.
I have perfect feedback here (and had pages of perfect feedback here before the new system), as well as tons of 100% feedback on ebay, audiogon, tenniswarehouse, etc.
