Are there any headphones in Long & McQuade that is approximately $100 to $200 and are worth buying? I have my eyes set on the Shure SRH750DJ headphones. I want the ATH-M50, but they look too overpriced for $180.

If you guys have any good deals from other stores in Canada, can you link some to me? Thank you. :)

headphonebar in Vancouver, for me personally is as good as it get's in Canada, if you live in the area you can try all their headphones and amps with your own iPod in store. But if you're not the guy who runs the shop is pretty knowledgable over the phone. They're selling the Hifiman HE300 for $299.

Also futureshop put the 750DJ's on sale for like $80 or $90. They're not as well built as the m50s, but they have a 2 year warranty and a detachable cable. For me they sounded near identical connected to my iPhone.

Finding decently priced headphones is a challenge in Canada and I feel your pain, good luck.

T50RP!  If you're willing to mod them, that is.

Assuming I listen to the following: Dubstep, Drum and Bass, R&B, Rock, Instrumental (ex. game music), which of the following is better?

The 750DJs or the M50? Which one has better quality, and is the quality significantly better compared to the other? I prefer less muddy music, and more clarity, but as well, presentable bass, sounding better than the Image S4 and Beats would be my standards. I would be interested in the T50RP if they were available, but unfortunately I have no intentions of modding.

The SRH750 is an excellent headphone for the price. M50 has better build quality but the srh750 isn't bad (i find them ugly, lol) and the center of the cups are in aluminum. On the other side, the headband is plastic for the srh750 and metal for the M50.

The M50 has more punchy bass whereas the srh750 has more sub et mid bass imo and yet, seems to offer a more balanced sound. The srh750 soundstage is much bigger and its a more bright headphone imo.
