Interesting Equipment Malfunction =Channels Swapped

Have a couple Sansa Fuzes.  My 4gig one did something very interesting.

I was listening to a hypnosis file, one that I had used for at least the previous week to go to sleep.  There is a voice in the center channel throughout and then there is the same guy who says different things but only in the RIGHT CHANNEL.

This nite the guy was speaking in the left channel.  I assumed that my Earbuds were in incorrectly.  I checked and checked.  They were in correctly.  I have a knot in the Left Channel cord.  I assumed a joke.  I pulled out a flashlight and sure enough the earbuds were in the correct ear.

I replayed the file.  The guy was in the center and in the left ear, no doubt about it.

For grins I played  Bob and Doug Myckenzi's Great North Album.  Anyone familiar with it knows that in the first tract that it is extremely stereo separated and one brother was in you left ear and one is in the right ear.  Clear as a bell.

They were swapped.  I was intrigued.  I kept buds in and played the same tracts with my 8gig Fuze and everything was normal.  I then transfered the files from my 4gig to my PC.  The files played correctly over the speakers and then when I plugged my buds into the pc.

My 4 gig Sansa Fuze is playing everything with Left and Right Channels swapped.  I formatted the Fuze, updated the software and put all my books and talking files back on it and everything is fine.

WHAT WEIRD DEVICE STORIES DO YOU HAVE?

This one time I swear I heard the maddening screams of damned souls coming from my Sennheiser Orpheus, so I threw it out of the window of my ten story apartment building. Turns it out was just a mosquito. Oops!

Do YOU hear the voices too?

In all seriousness, the weirdest I've ever dealt with is an IA that can create a ground loop within itself, for no ostensible reason. Figure it's damaged, but sometimes it "plays nice" - it lives in a closet now.

My Macbook Pro leaked some solid (as if they cooled down in the there) amber like pearls though the CD player opening a few weeks after I bought it. To this day I still have no idea what they were.

Did you by chance save these? You should post pictures.

I suppose the weirdest thing that happened to me was with my iPod. I still haven't resolved the issue, because I haven't got around to reformatting my iPod which is probably the only way to fix it. But, certain songs won't play on my iPod, as in it will just skip to the song and not let me play it, and yet, I can play those same songs on my computer and even from my iPod via iTunes but not on the iPod itself.
