DacMagic Plus into DacMagic into Novo headphone amp - Page 2

Thanks for your impressions David.

 

I am thinking of using a DacMagic into a Novo to dt880s.  I will probably wait for the Dacmagic D100 though.  I really appreciate hearing what you had to say and am closer to spending my money!

Sorry for my late reply, I thought I would get notified by e-mail for this toppic, but I didn't :)

 

Thanx for your effort David!

I did return the DacMagic Plus because I think it lacks dynamic power and hints of brightness to treble frequencies just like whathifi's review about the dac concludes.

Somehow it didn't sound right and I had to listen very loud for the music to sound better.

But that resulted for my ears to ring after listening with the DM+ for extended periods of time.

I have now ordered an Audiolab M-Dac and think it will do without the Novo.

Wow, I thought What HiFi gave all of the Cambridge products rave reviews. I've never seen them have an issue before.
