ATH-M50 and Sennheiser

Does anyone have some input for what a comparable headphone would be to the ATH-M50 in the Sennheiser line.  It seems as if there may be a few possibilities 

 

Not just sound quality but all  attributes- comfort, price, durability?

Hd25 would be in my opinion the most comparable

Well, the Senhheiser558 looks to have the closest price.  I've never tried any of the sennhesier headphones and they seem to offer a plethora of headphones a different price ranges and some in the same price ranges.  Its a bit overwhelming.  For example, what is the difference between the hd449, hd 170, hd 518, hdr 180, and hd 558.  They are all in that lower to middle price range , but is that a noticeable difference in the sound quality, or do that all just look different.  I say that because they all look completely different, they each have very different exterior sty lings.    I'll compare that to the Audio Technia Line which has the "M" series (I think that's what its called).  The m 20, 30, 35, 40, 40 and 50.  I have only heard that 50 but what do the others offer besides I'm assuming lesser sound quality.  They are all at a low to mid price range.  A big difference between them and the Seenheiser headphones s that they all, essentially, have the same exterior design.
