  • When unlock screen, the touch screen does not sometimes respond.
  • During music play, a sound became loud suddenly. (to recovery, unlock screen and push volume button only once)
  • Add native DSD play function.
  • Add the charge function from micro USB connecter.

Does the Ibasso DX100 come with cue-support? It's not an absolute must have, but if you have a ton of albums in flac/ape with cue files you would need to split all those flac/ape files into single tracks without the support. Would be definitely great to have that.

The sudden extreme loudness thing happened to me maybe twice.  It's a serious problem since it could have really damaged my hearing or my HD800s.  It hasn't happened again recently and I do have the new firmware.  Not sure if they fixed it.

 

Charging from the USB is never, ever going to happen.  The voltage (5v) through USB is nowhere near enough.  This can be put to rest.

 

DSD playback is theoretically possible based on the ESS9018 chip.  Where exactly would you get raw DSD files to play?

That certainly sounds very exciting and will dearly like to try out if it can be enabled on the DX100. Will ask iBasso if that will happen.

Extracting properties (still displaying file name as track title) and cover art from ALAC files is not fixed in this update. Hopefully the next update will address the issues.

The DX100 supports CUE. there will be a CUE icon on the screen when playing CUE. You can click the CUE icon to choose the songs.
We will address the ALAC information display problem on next firmware update.

iBasso replied that they have no plan to implement this yet. It may depend on the sales volume.

The only "bug" that I have found so far since the firmware update is that the context menu does not appear when pressing and holding the file that is currently playing. Thus one is unable to add the currently playing selection to favorites or a playlist. I have forwarded this to iBasso and they will fix it in a future update.

1) When using file explorer, songs being played stop during playback, resuming a second later from the beginning of the track - this is triggered by re-orienting the device. To say this a different way, when a track is being played, if the gyro sensor senses movement, it automatically stops the track and starts it again from the beginning.

 

2) When watching video, video freezes if volume level is adjusted.

 

3) When volume level is adjusted during playback of audio or video, all other controls are frozen until volume dialogue fades from the screen.

4) When removing SDcard and replacing with different SDcard with different file content, the DX100 still shows file names from the removed SDcard

I have a bug in that the keyboard has Chinese characters displayed in lower corners and when word suggestions come up in Chinese. I have all language setting on English.

Also some of the item in settings are in Chinese.

I don't think that's a bug.

Click on the little circle-with-a-dot-in-the-middle to the left of the space bar and make sure Android keyboard is selected.
