Looking for PortaPro Replacement

Hey guys

Im new to the forum - though I've loved reading the reviews so far, spent about ~20 hours reading them.

I broke my Koss PortaPros today - like every other pair of headphones I've ever broken (a sennheiser PX-100, CX-300, hd-238 - in retrospect, I've broken a lot of sennheisers :| )they broke in the cable - shaking the jack makes one channel cut out.

So basically Im looking for either a very durable set of headphones or something with a replaceable connector.

I looked at the massive thread that had 96 reviews, but the only thing that struck me was the Equation Audio Ep-3070s and I can't find a reliable dealer for them online. Any other recommendations? I really wouldn't like to spend much more than 50 USD on these. I need them to be portable, for every day use - and durable for the same reasons.

Did you file with Koss for the lifetime warranty on Portapros?

Sadly, no. I didn't know it existed.
