I will be travelling a lot soon and want something that I can use to watch movies and listen to music in flight and for business web conferences, audio/video on Smartphone, MP3 player. I see a lot of people with portable headphones on flights. I've talked to a few who have Bose QC 2s and they seem to love them, but my feeling is that Bose is overpriced in general and that there are probably better options and who knows what how much they know about such things anyway? Plus I don't want to have to carry headphones and earbuds if possible.
It seems like a good pair of noise cancelling IEMs would be the way to go as I could use them for everything. I'd even thought about making my own custom silicon mold set with some appropriate hardware. This is where I need the advice because in all the dozens of reviews and comments I've read, it's usually directed at a particular use or music type and not the multi-uses I've mentioned. Any advice is appreciated. I can go a bit over $300 if necessary. Thanks!
