Earphones advice, £100 price range

Hi,

After having my Ie8's stolen from me last summer i've finally found enough money to purchase another IEM. After looking at various ear phones i have decided that i want one with a microphone attatched. I've looked at the Ultimate Ears Triple.fi 10 Earphones: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultimate-Ears-Triple-10-Earphones/dp/B000JFJDAE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1327612971&sr=8-2

I've been on and off about this decision for days now and i want a better opinion on them before i buy them. Are they good for HipHop/RnB/Drum&Base/Dubstep music as that's what i mainly listen to. If not, can you recommend me anything better?

Thanks

Hardie

well you cant get bettor for the money, the GR07 may be an option though as dynamics are often more popular with bass heavy stuff

Yeah i cant see you getting better than the triple.fi's for £100...

but they tend to be difficult fitters.. some do some dont

if you are worried about git at all go for something that will be "shure" to fit in your ears (Shure SE215)

sorry i had to. :(

If MIC is not essential I recommend Yamaha eph-100 for the price (£80 delivered) & best for your listening genre of music in my opinion. Very popular genre tonight with IEM recommendations. Checkout Yamaha eph-100 thread for more info.

Yamaha EPH100's may seem cheap from their price tag but they have enough class to punch into top tier especially for EDM. I also had similar requirements & initially snobbed them because of there low price.

They are metal construction and best fitting/isolating of all dynamic drivers. Great for gym & commuting. Bass is strong & punchy, great clarity without earaching highs & to top it all 3D like immersive soundstage that is parictularly incredible with EDM. I've also got TF10's & IE7's and they are no match for EDM/Hip-hop/Rap.

You won't regret it even though you may buy another if you hang around these forums. rolleyes.gif

ah this has made my decision even tougher. I don't really need one but i would prefer to have one as i tend to phone people up whilst having earphones in and i play fifa with earphones as it's quite hard to rest my phone on my shoulder/ear.

I wish there was a store near me that would let me test them out before buying and the fit of the TF10's is worrying as i don't want to waste £110
