Recommend me a headset for listening to classical music

Hi all,

I am new to this forum and I would like some advice on getting a headset for listening mainly

to choral, orchestral, and instrumental (piano, violin, cello etc.) from my .flac collection.

I would like one which doesn't leak too much sound (esp. listening in libraries) and preferably with

some good noise-cancellation and over-the-ear.

I have a laptop with Realtek HD audio so a uber pro set is out of the quesiton. My upper limit is $200

though preferably low-mid $100.

Thanks!

I think the new Sennheiser HD 449 are quite what you need. Same for the now discontinued HD 448 if you can still find them.

They might lack the wide soundstage and vocal quality of the more expensive HD 598, but you get similar clarity and bass response, also coupled with some good sound isolation. Might worth a look. smile.gif
