Hello All,

This is my request to you all who are expert in all kinds of headphones.

i decided to buy new headphones which are primerly used for my Dell XPS 17" 3D Laptop (watching blue-ray movies, Latest 3d gaming like MW3 & Latest music) and for my iPhone to listen music while i am outside.

i have no experience with any of best sound providing headphones, i was searching for nice head phones which can give me every possible detail in music and can let me experience the sound, music like never before (far better than iPhone's headset). please i don't want in-ear type or too small and uncomfortable since i am playing latest games regularly on laptop.

price range is around $ 50. (less pricey is better..biggrin.gif

Please help me out all audiophiles to buy my new amazing headphones.

i saw few headphones on Amazon but dont know which are best among them and can fit for my requirement. i never tried any good headphones before. so this is gona be my very first branded headphones, i hope you guys give your best advice to noob who is music lover and avid gamer.

List:

1. Audio-Technica ATH-M30

2. Beyerdynamic-DT-235 And DTX-35

3. Sennheiser-HD-202-Dynamic-Headphones

4. Grado SR60i

Please feel free to advice if any other model/brand is better than these listed above. Plz include pros/cons for all, your help and guidance is much appreciated.

Thanks.

The Grado SR60i will not work tremendously well with movies as it has a very small sound stage as well as rolled off bass.  They also leak sound a bit.

The Beyerdynamic DT 235 has a pretty good frequency response curve and is very affordable.  Is sounds better than the other headphones you have listed.  My only suggestion is that you get 90 degree adapter for the plug so you can strain relieve it.  Some people find that the original plug wears out after 2 months or so.

Something like this for the relief:

http://www.amazon.com/Neutrik-NTP3RC-3-5mm-Right-Nickel/dp/B000BDLJBU/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&qid=1327615845&sr=8-17

I'm don't know much about headphones in that price range, but I can say that a small headphone amp like the inexpensive but high quality Fiio E5 (20 bucks) works wonders on the sound quality. There are other options out there; just check out cnet or similar review sites for headphone amps.

Thanks man, its very confusing to select one pair of headphones for noob, so beside Beyerdynamic DT-235 is there any other good headphones? how about Panasonic HTF-600 and Superlux HD668B? these were suggested to me, so i want to know which suits best for my requirement, also tell me about good amp one guy told to use Fiio E5, is this good or any other which will make sound more tremendous when combinging with DT-235 or HTF-600 or HD668B? is there anything else which i am missing? maybe it looks strange that why i am asking soo many questions just for buying one pair of cheap headphones, its because i am not in US/UK etc, its very far and i need to buy on Ebay or Amazon and it will be internaltion shipment, thats why i need to be sure what i am buying and how much it will make my happy within budget, i prefer cheaper because after paying high amount and not getting statisfied then i need to buy again and it will take lots of time and cost money to deliver plus time consuming.

Please help me out getting my well suited headphones+amp etc for my 3d laptop & iphone use.

Best regards.
