Grado 325is vs. Sennheiser HD 598 for Folk, Singer/Songwriter, Bluegrass type music

I was originally considering a HD 600 or 650 but being somewhat of a n00b I think I'm gonna start slow with something more "friendly" and work my way up. After quite a bit of research the 325is and HD 598 are the two headphones that interest me the most and from reading a lot about them they shound like they're both great just wondering does one edge out the other for these types of genres? I will also probably be listening to some rock and alternative as well and know the Grados handle that really good.

BTW, I have the chance to buy a E9/E7 fairly cheap do one of these headphones work better with that amp/DAC combo?

From what I read the senn is more laid back and smooth. The grado is more up front and aggressive. Here is some other posts on the hd598 and sr325i.
